Defected Ibiza Season 2010...Music to Put on Your iPod
David Guetta, Bob Sinclair, Afrojack, Gregory Salto... The Shapeshifters speak...
A fan of music, I love everything from the steady pump of House to the smooth strings of Spanish guitar. This particular post, however, is dedicated to the fluid and energetic sounds of Dance and House music. And by the way, there's only two Pasha Clubs I know of, one is indeed in Ibiza, Spain (the Mediterranean is apparently full of sights) the other is in New York City. I would more than love to travel first class to the Spanish paradise, but the east coast location is much closer to home... http://www.pachanyc.com/
Passport to Capri, Italy

Italy is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and I would assume that is a large reason why the country annually receives over 40 thousand tourists per year. Capri, located in the south western portion of Italy sits in the Mediterranean Sea, a ferry ride off the coast of Sorrento. The island is rather small, but walking through the winding towns... the old homes... hidden near the most amazing high-end fashion brands and personally owned boutiques, the island is a like the lemoncello sold on every street- it has taken a long time to create, but with one sweet sip taste, you know it was immediately worth it all.

Beauty Grows Wild in the Land of the Fashion Jungle
This article is in reference to hair- voluminous hair plus a pinch of wild fashion. An avid reader of La Republica's Velvet Magazine, I can never get enough of Italian fashion in all of its forms. The diversity in art and culture that spill from these pages beg me to flip through the issue more than once. In the most current issue, voluminous and ethereal hair is photographed everywhere. The big blow out balances the slim, yet bold silhouette. From the European runways to American fashion, trendsetters wearing animal or natural prints and colors will be prowling everywhere this season. Infusing an energetic tone in apparel that can be worn "loudly" to make a statement, or subtlety, is in a sense, a organic connection between the people and the planet.

You have found fashion's pot of gold when you click on WGSN, a UK based website that a wealth of knowledge on the future of fashion, I am talking about womenswear two years from now, men's fashion forecasts, retail talk, textile industry experts, and color specialists. (Similarly Stylesight is to the US what WGSN is to the British.)
To sweep away from the natural effect, but to keep in rhythm with volume up top, take a look at fashion and music figures such as Natalie Portman, Rhianna, and even musicians from the nifty fifties. Today, however, the style becomes much more edgy and daring- it also goes hand in hand with the pieces with stripes and spots walking down the runway.Don't forget your cateye-liner! ;)
In addition to the wild crazy trend, look for volume in your clothing, ladies, pleats and origami like shapes. In addition to this, crochet, cutouts, and floral and elaborations on your accessories and apparel will be showing up for Fall/Winter 2011/2012. If you have not heard it yet, now you have...there's more to come.

Madewell 1937 is the Coziest Thing for Fall
Passing the window of a Madewell store is, for me, like walking past a candy store with too little money and too big an appetite. I just had to go inside!
As soon as I did I noticed the new fall trends peeking out from behind the store's unlimited selection of denim. From bright to deep hues and an assortment of soft to flowy fabrics with a smooth hand, and "please come touch me!" texture was surrounded by beaded gold and silver jewelry, leather accessories, and cute quirky details that resemble the family room you've always wanted in that Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Not only do I want to try on all the styles of denim, but buy the figurines as well! As usually, however, I settled...
With a thicker chain actually looped into the neck of the three quarter sleeve shirt, there is no need for a necklace...settle for chunky gold studs and it would look like you're settling at all! The fabric was more than what you would expect from cotton, the colors were bright and distinct, but the XS (shown here) runs large, as is a standard for all Madewell sizes. I personally prefer a little room though because I can tuck and blouse, belt, or hang (with slim bottoms that is). The look is "the artists meets the sea," which actually flows together quit nicely.
The instant I wedged the skinny jeans on I knew they were substantial and ready for the long hall and ware and tear that I require of my clothes. The legs were very slim, as was the waist, but the booty and waist had a bit more give. I have an athletic shape so I am always carefully when it comes to skinny jeans, however these were worth it! Shop online or call for store locations. The employees are trained to give YOU the service THEY would want themselves (trust me, I once worked for J. Crew ;D)
